The crew of the project 636.3 submarine “Magadan” under construction at the experimental research base of the Research Institute of Rescue and Underwater Technologies of the Military Educational and Scientific Center of the Navy “Naval Academy named after Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union N.G. Kuznetsov “worked out the mandatory elements of rescue training.

During the training, the submariners performed a practical exit in rescue equipment through the torpedo tube and the submarine’s escape hatch. After checking the equipment for tightness, the servicemen were placed in a torpedo tube, after which the back cover of the device was closed. After equalizing the pressure, the torpedo tube was filled with water, and the servicemen, using the free ascent method, emerged through the front cover of the device onto the water surface from a depth of three meters.

In a separate eight-meter tower, the crew members of the submarine worked out ascent to the surface of the water both along the buoyp with a stop at the musing at a depth of five meters, and by the free ascent method.

All elements of the rescue training program were completed successfully. Such trainings are conducted on the basis of the Research Institute of Rescue and Underwater Technologies of the VUNC of the Navy on an ongoing basis, which allows maintaining a high level of preparedness of the crew members of submarines of the Russian Navy.
