More than 150 servicemen of formations and units of naval subordination, cadets of the Pacific Higher Naval School (TOVVMU) named after S.O. Makarov, Maritime State University named after G.I. Nevelskoy and the Military Training Center at Dalrybtvuz, veterans of military service.

The competitions, organized by the Sports Committee of the Pacific Fleet and the Sailing Federation of Primorsky Krai, were held at the Water Station of the Sports Center (maritime and physical training, (Vladivostok) CSKA.

During the races, the participants of the competition consolidated their knowledge of maritime practice and gained vast experience in managing a yacht under sail.

Based on the results of three short races, the panel of judges was unable to identify the winners. The strongest sports team was determined only by the results of the fourth long race. It was the team of TOVVMU named after S.O. Makarov. The organizers presented the first Vladivostok sailing cup to the cadets in the Plastic Yal discipline. The names of all team members are engraved on it.

The completed competition can be considered a new milestone in the history of the development of sailing in the capital of the Far East. Championships in this format will become traditional in the future.
