In Dagestan, an airborne training gathering began with servicemen of the Caspian Flotilla Marine Corps. During the event, the marines will have to land on modern special-purpose parachute systems “Arbalet-2”, as well as D-10.

At the initial stage of the assembly, ground pre-jump training is carried out with the military at the airborne complex. The simulators practice the actions of the parachutist in the event of emergency situations in the air and the methods of landing on various parts of the terrain. Also, during training events, the marines master and repeat the theory on the structure, packing and methods of parachute control in various climatic conditions, at night and during the day.

Upon completion of prejump training, the “black berets” will carry out landing from the Mi-8AMTSh “Terminator” helicopters of the 4th Army of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Southern Military District in full combat gear from a height of 600 to 1300 m. In addition, the marines will perform long jumps from a height about 1500 m.

In addition to the standard elements of airborne tactics, the subunits will work out the standards for collecting a platoon at a designated point after landing, conducting tactical sabotage actions in the rear and at simulated enemy targets, and also make five- and ten-kilometer marches.

In total, more than 400 servicemen of the Caspian Flotilla Marine Regiment will perform parachute jumps during the training camp.
