On June 11, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation A.Yu. Rudenko presented the Pushkin Medal to poet-translator and head of the Pushkin to the World Charitable Foundation Julian Henry Lowenfeld, which he was awarded by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 102 of February 10, 2020 for a large contribution to the study and preservation of Russian cultural heritage.

During the conversation, A.Yu. Rudenko thanked J.G. Lowenfeld for supporting and promoting the Russian language, familiarizing foreign audiences and Russian compatriots abroad with the literary heritage of Russia.

J.G. Lowenfeld expressed gratitude to the Russian leadership for the high appraisal of his work and confirmed their readiness to continue to participate in promoting the Russian-American cultural dialogue.
