Participants of the youth detachments and children of servicemen of the united Russian military base “Kant”, stationed in the Kyrgyz Republic, took part in a literary competition dedicated to the 222nd anniversary of the birth of A.S. Pushkin.

In the art reading competition, schoolchildren and youth members read favorite works of Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin and demonstrated their acting talents on an impromptu stage. In addition to holding a literary competition within the framework of the event, the organizers summed up the results of the drawing competition dedicated to the great Russian poet. The jury of the competition highly appreciated the talents of the participants and awarded the winners with certificates and valuable gifts. In total, about 50 schoolchildren from first to tenth grades took part in the competition.

The joint Russian military base “Kant” is part of the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces and is involved in ensuring the security of the airspace of the CSTO states. It is armed with Su-25 attack aircraft and Mi-8 helicopters.
