In the Leningrad Region, a tactical exercise with the S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile battalion of the Leningrad Army of the Air Force and the Air Defense of the Western Military District ended.

The three-day tactical exercise was conducted in two phases. At the first stage, the activities of the plan for transferring the division to the highest degree of readiness were worked out, as well as the measures for preparing for the conduct of hostilities within the positional area. At the second stage, the issues of conducting training anti-aircraft battles were worked out.

As part of the exercise, the anti-aircraft missile technology march was made to a temporary training position, in the conditions of the action of reconnaissance and sabotage groups of the “enemy”, as well as a set of measures to carry out camouflage.

At the new position, the servicemen, using an electronic launch of anti-aircraft guided missiles, repelled a conventional massive missile strike simulated by training equipment. Target designations for the conditional destruction of the winged were received from the “Baikal” automated control system through the combat control point of the system.

In April of this year, the regiment’s combat crews successfully coped with combat training tasks during a tactical exercise with live firing at the Ashuluk training ground in the Astrakhan region.
