The pre-Olympic world championship in modern pentathlon was held in Cairo, CSKA athlete Gulnaz Gubaidullina won a silver medal in the women’s relay.

Lieutenant Gulnaz Gubaidullina and Ulyana Batashova won silver in the first event of the World Championship, which started in Egypt – the women’s relay.

Swimming Ulyana and Gulnaz won. They also performed well in fencing, where they took third place (23 wins, 17 defeats), retreating to the third line in the standings and in the sum of the two types of the program.

In horse riding, the Russian duo made only one mistake, which allowed him to move to second place before the laser run. Only the national team of Belarus was ahead in 19 seconds.

As a result, the victory was won by athletes from Belarus Irina Prosentsova and Olga Silkina. The Russians came in second. Hungarian Rita Erdos and Charlotte Shimon closed the top three.

The Russian women in total after five types of the competitive program scored 1383 points, losing 12 points to the winners.
