As part of the celebration of the Day of the Worker of the Educational Service of the Penitentiary System, the head of the department for educational and social work with convicts of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Pskov Region, Vyacheslav Ivanov, took part in the morning radio broadcast “Launching Site” on Radio Russia – Pskov and told the radio listeners about the activities of educational services in institutions of the penal systems of the region.
The program began with congratulating the guests of the studio on the upcoming professional holiday, after which the representative of the UIS told what an educational service in prisons is, what tasks it is entrusted with, and also from what mandatory points the working day of the head of the detachment, social worker and psychologist is built.
Also during the conversation, the interlocutors discussed the possibilities of re-education of convicts, the effectiveness of educational measures and the implementation of the right of convicts to freedom of religious beliefs in places of deprivation of liberty, the assistance they receive in restoring and maintaining social ties.

What innovative methods are currently being introduced into the process of educational work?
