In Egypt, at the pre-Olympic world championship in modern pentathlon, CSKA athlete Alexander Lifanov took silver in the individual competition.

Ensign Alexander Lifanov took second place in the individual competition at the World Modern Pentathlon Championship, which ended in Cairo. The soldier finished the competition with a score of 1426 points.

The victory was won by an athlete from Hungary, Adam Marosi, who scored 1435 points. The Egyptian Ahmed El-Gendi closed the top three – 1417.

Lieutenant Gulnaz Gubaidullina was among the athletes who won Olympic licenses according to the rating, which took its final form at the end of the individual competitions at the 2021 World Championships in Cairo.
