In the Chelyabinsk Region, the first tactical exercise of the Guards Tank Division of the Central Military District (CVD) with the use of the Terminator BMPT tank support combat vehicles started at the interspecific training ground.

The event involved a tank battalion of the division’s tank regiment, reinforced by an BMPT company. A pair of Mi-8 transport and combat helicopters will provide air support to the ground units.

In the course of the first joint practical actions, the crews of the T-72B3 and BMPT tanks will make a high-speed march 60 kilometers long, consistently practice offensive and defensive actions as part of a single unit, repel an attack of reconnaissance and sabotage groups of a simulated enemy, perform live firing from all types of weapons at targets, imitating armored vehicles, low-flying air targets and enemy firepower at various ranges during the day and at night.

Earlier, during the trial operation of the BMPT, the military personnel of the Central Military District fulfilled the standards for bringing to battle, driving and firing from the BMPT outside a tactical situation on tank directors.

BMPT “Terminator” were delivered to the Ural tank division in December last year for trial operation and development by military personnel.

In total, about 100 units of military equipment and over 600 servicemen are involved in the exercise.

The Terminator is a multipurpose highly protected combat tracked fire support vehicle with powerful armament, modern fire control devices and high maneuverability. “Terminator” is capable of hitting lightly armored targets, tanks and infantry fighting vehicles, together with military air defense to fight against helicopters and low-flying low-speed aircraft of the enemy.
