The crew of the large anti-submarine ship “Vice-Admiral Kulakov” practiced repelling an attack of a simulated enemy air attack on a detachment of ships by firing an anti-aircraft missile at a simulated air target.

The crew conducted an air defense exercise at the Northern Fleet’s combat training ranges in the Barents Sea. The firing was carried out by the Kinzhal anti-aircraft missile system.

In addition to air defense missions, naval sailors worked out interaction with Ka-27 deck helicopters, which performed landings and takeoffs on the deck of the ship.

Earlier, the combat crews of the anti-submarine ship worked out a full range of tasks to search for and track an underwater enemy, and also fired a practical torpedo at a submarine.

The ship continues to carry out the planned activities of the combat training course in the Barents Sea. Currently, he maneuvers as part of a detachment of ships and support vessels. The return of the VPK “Vice-Admiral Kulakov” to the base is planned at the end of the week.
