Servicemen of the special forces of the Central Military District (CVO) during a tactical flight exercise in the Novosibirsk region for the first time carried out a massive landing of 11 helicopters into the rear of a simulated enemy.

In practical operations, Mi-24 attack helicopters and Mi-8AMTSh transport-combat helicopters from the helicopter regiment based near Novosibirsk were involved.

The servicemen made a landing using D-10 parachute systems from a height of 600 m, after which they assembled groups at the landing point and took up a perimeter defense. Further, each group made a 10-kilometer march to the area of ​​the assigned tasks in order to prepare personnel for the conditions of a real confrontation with the enemy.

The exercise, which runs from June 16 to June 18, involves more than 20 Mi-8 and Mi-24 helicopters, over 30 units of ground military and special equipment, as well as about 500 people from the flight and engineering personnel of the helicopter regiment, military personnel of the unit special purpose of the Central Military District.
