On June 18, a graduation ceremony was held at the Naval Polytechnic Institute on the completion of training and production of graduates in ship engineers. According to the established tradition, the ritual was held on the territory of the Pavlovsk State Museum-Reserve.

The solemn ceremony began with the introduction of the state flag of the Russian Federation and the naval flag, after which the head of the institute, captain 1st rank Andrei Klimenko, walked around the line and greeted the graduates, gave a command to the heads of the faculties for the presentation of diplomas.

There were 300 5th year cadets in the ceremonial formation of graduates, 65 of whom graduated with honors, and eight were awarded gold medals.

The Naval Polytechnic Institute today is the legal successor of three best engineering schools: V.I. Lenin, VMIU named after F.E. Dzerzhinsky and VMURE named after A.S. Popov. And today, graduates of the Naval Polytechnic Institute were honored to receive diplomas from the hands of admirals who at various times headed these schools: Rear Admiral Yuri Khaliulin, Rear Admiral Igor Kolesnikov, Rear Admiral Nikolai Sokolov, Rear Admiral Nikolai Kovalevsky. After the presentation of diplomas, each of the admirals said parting words to the graduates, who will join the corps of naval officers tomorrow.

On behalf of the graduates standing in the ranks, words of gratitude to the teachers, the command and veterans of the institute were spoken by the foreman of the 2nd article Ruslan Belenkov, who assured them that they would never be ashamed of the future officers-engineers of the Russian fleet!

In his closing remarks, the head of the Naval Polytechnic Institute, Captain 1st Rank Andrei Klimenko, promised the veterans that the quality of training will only grow from year to year, and the modern Russian Navy will be replenished with real professionals.
