The scouts of the Guards Tank Army of the Western Military District performed a parachute landing in the rear of a mock enemy as part of a tactical exercise at the Mulino training ground in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

The landing was carried out by servicemen in full combat gear from a Mi-8 helicopter from an altitude of 600 to 1200 meters, using D-10 parachute systems. After landing, the servicemen worked out a number of combat training tasks: gathering a group at the landing point and engaging in an all-round defense, conducting sabotage actions at the objects of a simulated enemy, as well as marching in full combat gear to the assembly area.

Also, such important skills for scouts are being practiced, such as shooting at ground targets from a helicopter and during a parachute descent, searching for cargo using marker transmitters and search receivers, masking landing traces.

In total, more than 200 servicemen of the reconnaissance brigade of the ZVO tank formation were involved in tactical exercises.
