Resolution of June 16, 2021 No. 912

The government continues to create conditions so that patients suffering from severe neurological diseases can promptly receive drugs that are not registered in Russia. Now unused stocks of such drugs will be regularly redistributed between regions. The decree on this was signed by the Chairman of the Government Mikhail Mishustin.

Regional health authorities will send data on unclaimed residues of a particular drug to the Ministry of Industry and Trade every quarter and, if necessary, submit applications for an additional batch of drugs. Based on the information received, the ministry will redistribute medicines between regions. Thus, patients will be able to receive the necessary treatment promptly without waiting for the purchase and import of a new batch of unregistered medicines into the country.

The medicines in question contain psychotropic substances, therefore, for safety reasons, their import and storage are strictly controlled by the state.

The issue was discussed at a meeting with deputy prime ministers on June 21… According to Mikhail Mishustin, the new order will operate in the next three years. “During this time, the production of such drugs in Russia should be established,” said the head of the Government.

The signed document changes Government Decree of March 5, 2020 No. 230.
