A rescue and evacuation group of a separate engineer-sapper battalion of the Kantemirovskaya tank division of the Guards Tank Red Banner Army of the Western Military District has completed training in the Moscow region at the Golovenki training ground to evacuate the BMP-2 crews when overcoming a water barrier.

According to the plan of the training, the BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicle entered the water to overcome the water barrier and received conditional damage. When the rescue and evacuation group discovered the conditionally damaged BMP-2, the engineers began to work out the tasks for a while. Within 2 minutes, the servicemen arrived at the damaged BMP-2 on a floating medium PTS-2 transporter and started towing the armored vehicle. The crew was evacuated by a group of divers on a landing boat DL-10.

In total, more than 200 servicemen and over 30 units of weapons, military and special equipment of the Kantemirovskaya tank division of the guards tank army of the Western Military District took part in the training.
