The Deputy Minister of EMERCOM of Russia Viktor Yatsutsenko arrived in the Republic of Crimea on a working visit to personally inspect the work of the grouping of forces and means of the department to eliminate flooding in the region.

As part of the trip, Viktor Yatsutsenko, together with the Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Aksenov, examined the most flooded areas of the territories where rescuers continue to work on the prompt elimination of emergencies.

The deputy minister talked with the personnel of the department’s grouping, positively assessing the progress of emergency recovery work in Crimea.

After the inspection, V. Yatsutsenko and S. Aksenov discussed the situation with the liquidation of flooding in two municipalities of the Crimean peninsula, the issues of interaction of interdepartmental services during liquidation, as well as the results of measures taken to stabilize the situation.

The Deputy Minister noted that today’s inspection of the peninsula’s territories showed the first results: “The territorial subsystem of the Republic of Crimea, RSChS, with the task of taking preventive measures after receiving an emergency warning about a complex of dangerous meteorological phenomena, coped. disaster strikes – in the cities of Kerch and Yalta, which made it possible to minimize the consequences in general, and most importantly – to preserve human lives in such difficult conditions, and the number of victims speaks about this. the main task of restoring the entire infrastructure along the coast to complete and complete the work. “

V. Yatsutsenko added that in the near future an aerial survey will be carried out, which will make it possible to compile orthomosaics of the most difficult parts of the territories in the flooded zone in the field. Space monitoring will make it possible to automatically update information on the operational situation in the emergency zone 4 times a day.

To fulfill all the assigned tasks, the work of rescuers is carried out almost around the clock, there are enough forces and means.

During his working trip, the Deputy Minister also held a meeting of the Commission for the Prevention and Elimination of Emergencies and Ensuring Fire Safety in Crimea.

According to V. Yatsutsenko, additional forces and means of the Russian Emergencies Ministry are expected to arrive. Special equipment and mobile special processing complexes were sent to Crimea.

At the end of the meeting, the Deputy Minister addressed the residents of the Republic of Crimea who suffered from the floods, stressing that everyone will be provided with targeted assistance.

EMERCOM of Russia is currently assisting the commission in assessing the damage. Lists are being prepared for making payments to citizens affected by flooding as a result of heavy rainfall.
