On June 17, the second round of Russian-Kazakh interdepartmental consultations on international information security (IIB) issues was held in Moscow.

The Russian delegation included representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Justice, the FSO, FSTEC, the General Prosecutor’s Office, the Investigative Committee, the Security Council apparatus and other interested departments. The Kazakh side was represented by experts from the Ministries of Foreign and Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry, the National Security Committee, the Ministry of Defense, as well as the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Moscow.

The key topic of the event was the discussion of ways to improve the international legal framework for cooperation and practical interaction in this area.

As a result of the consultations, an agreement was reached to continue on a regular basis the dialogue between Moscow and Nur-Sultan in the field of ensuring international information security.
