As part of a working trip to the Republic of Crimea, Deputy Minister of EMERCOM of Russia Viktor Yatsutsenko, together with journalists from federal and regional media, checked the progress of emergency recovery work in the areas of the city of Yalta most affected by flooding, where units of the EMERCOM of Russia continue to clear the territory, free basements from water and grinding.

So, on the street. Krivoshty and st. J. Seydamet, pumping of water from the basements of apartment buildings was completed and work continues on the restoration of life support systems: electricity, gas and water supply.

At the moment, a fairly large grouping of forces and means is concentrated at the site of work, including engineering equipment and equipment for removing water-applied soil, for cleaning basements and providing power supply to residential buildings that were most susceptible to natural disasters.

At the end of the bypassing of the territory, an additional decision was also made to increase the grouping in order not only to clean up the territory as soon as possible, but to completely restore the vital activity of the area.

“The main thing is to complete the cleaning of the river bed in a short time, in order to prevent the release of water and re-flooding of residential buildings, especially the private sector, which is located almost at the river bed. A set of works has already been carried out to dismantle the fallen trees that impede the movement of water, and temporary dams have been built to direct the water into the natural river bed, ”stressed V. Yatsutsenko.

In order to fully assess the scale of the impact along the entire coast, operational groups of the National Center and the Crisis Management Center of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and Krasnodar Territory are working, including a group of unmanned aerial vehicles for aerial photography and orthophotomaps.

Also, rescuers interview the population, find out problematic issues that concern citizens and require prompt intervention of specialists of the emergency department.
