The calculations of the Buk-M3 anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM) of the combined arms army of the Western Military District (ZVO) took part in the exercise to destroy high-speed unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), which took place in the Kursk region at the Inns.

Having received the “combat alert” signal, the calculations made a 50-kilometer march to the designated area. Arriving at the firing positions, they completed over 10 introductory tasks for the preparation and camouflage of anti-aircraft missile systems. In conditions of electronic interference, servicemen detected, captured and struck with electronic launches up to 12 simultaneously moving air targets at a distance of more than 10 km.

Particular attention during the exercise was paid to repelling enemy UAV attacks in a group formation.

In total, about 100 air defense specialists of the combined-arms army of the Western Military District took part in the exercises, over 10 units of weapons, military and special equipment were involved.
