Participants will suggest how volunteering can be made popular among the townspeople. The best ideas will be realized.

On the crowdsourcing platform, the City of Ideas earned Moscow Volunteers project… Users can suggest ideas for popularization volunteering in the capital.

“Volunteering is a contribution to a common cause, development of society, preservation of historical heritage, improvement of the urban environment and selfless help to people. Volunteering allows you to acquire new knowledge, acquaintances, impressions and vast life experience. Everyone who takes part in the Moscow Volunteers project and proposes their ideas for realizing the potential of both young people and residents of the city of older age will help in building a culture of good deeds in the capital, “she said.

Experts will select the best proposals of Muscovites and submit them to a general vote, which will be held from 28 to 29 June. Ideas that get the most support from residents will be implemented.

After the launch of the Moscow Volunteers project, users began to accrue points for registering on the City of Ideas platform, joining each new project, as well as for photos that were moderated and published in the section “Citizens’ Ideas Implemented by the City”. Urban crowdsourcing projects have been carried out since 2014. During this time, 32 projects have passed, more than 250 thousand Muscovites have proposed over 110 thousand ideas. More than four thousand of them were selected by experts for further study, and over two and a half thousand ideas have already been implemented. Thus, thanks to crowdsourcing projects, new public transport routes have appeared in Moscow, a Moscow standard for children’s recreation has been developed, public service centers, children’s and adult clinics, libraries and parks have been transformed.
