As part of the improvement, several streets near the station are being reconstructed.

The territory near the Krekshino station of the Kiev direction of the Moscow Railway (MZD), which will become part of the fourth Moscow Central Diameter (MCD-4), is awaiting comprehensive improvement. The corresponding decree was signed Sergei Sobyanin

Improvement includes the creation of a high-quality urban environment with an emphasis on walking and cycling, as well as the organization of ground public transport.

For access to ground transport stops, the underground passage through 1st Zheleznodorozhnaya Street will be extended. Reconstruction of the 1st and 2nd Zheleznodorozhny streets is also planned. A comfortable footpath 230 meters long will be arranged from 2nd Zheleznodorozhnaya Street to the station.

Additional pedestrian crossings, traffic lights, parking and bicycle rentals (bicycle sharing), taxi ranks, modern public transport stops with slop-turn areas and intercepting car parks will appear on both sides of the railway tracks. Passengers will be able to pass from the station to the stops of ground transport under canopies that protect from rain and snow.

Utilities will also be updated, including the construction of rainwater drainage networks (2.8 kilometers), outdoor lighting (1.9 kilometers) and a closed surface drainage system.

The Krekshino station is located in the village of the same name in the settlement of Marushkinsky (TiNAO) between the Sanino and Pobeda stations of the Kiev direction of the Moscow Railway. Reconstruction of the station and improvement of the adjacent territory – part of the project for the launch of the line MCD-4 “Kievsko-Gorkovsky”.

December 2020 ended complex reconstruction of the Krekshino station – a modern station appeared on the site of the suburban half-station. For passengers, a new island platform with a full-length canopy and an underground lobby with turnstiles and ticket offices were built, which is also used as a pedestrian crossing over the railroad tracks.
