On the Day of Remembrance and Mourning, in four municipalities of the Rostov Region, ceremonies for the burial of the remains of Soviet soldiers discovered by search teams during the “Memory Watch” took place.

The remains of two soldiers found on the territory of Ukraine, the Red Army soldiers Mikhail Arsentievich Khryapchenko and Luka Nikitovich Svinarev, were buried in their small homeland in Chertkovsky and Belokalitvinsky districts.

In the Oryol region on the Kamennaya Balka farm and in the Volgodonsk region on the Morozov farm, the remains of 37 and 16 Soviet soldiers discovered during the search work were buried.

The solemn ceremonies were attended by servicemen of the Southern Military District, representatives of local government bodies, the military commissariat, the Cossacks, veterans of the Armed Forces, local residents and youth soldiers.
