The Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Nikolai Evmenov, congratulated the management and personnel of the Nakhimov Naval School (VMU) in St. Petersburg on the 77th anniversary of the founding of this unique educational institution.

Admiral Nikolay Evmenov especially emphasized the role of the Nakhimov Naval Forces and its branches in the system of pre-university naval education, drawing attention to the fact that this educational institution has prepared many generations of outstanding sailors for the country’s Navy.

“The graduates of the Nakhimov Naval Medical University have always been distinguished and are distinguished by their love for the sea, for the Navy and its glorious traditions, high responsibility in fulfilling their military duty,” noted the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy.

“Today the role of pre-university educational institutions and, in particular, the Nakhimov Naval School, has increased. This is due to the fact that our ocean-going Navy is equipped with the latest warships and submarines. This process places new demands on naval personnel. The Nakhimovites have always been distinguished by a deliberate choice of their profession and, after graduating from higher naval educational institutions, they came to the navy as well-trained specialists, whom everyone was equal to. This is how it is and, I am sure, it will be so, ”said Admiral Nikolai Evmenov, congratulating the Nakhimov Naval Forces on the 77th anniversary of its foundation.
