The AI hackathon took place at the stadium in Nizhny Novgorod last weekend.
Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko and Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Gleb Nikitin congratulated the winners of the first artificial intelligence hackathon held as part of the Digital Breakthrough competition. The meeting took place within the framework of the All-Russian Conference “Digital Industry of Industrial Russia” (CIPR), which is taking place at the Nizhny Novgorod Fair.
“We will do our best to make the decisions of the hackathon participants come true. These are very interesting cases that are now on the agenda of what our country needs. Not only the University “20.35”, but also at the federal level, we will try to tighten them up with you, build this chain, when the employer himself forms the training modules that he needs to train specialists. We make end-to-end traceability of the effectiveness of the implementation of these modules. And it is important for us to understand what motivates the participants so that we can create these conditions for them, and so that more children come and fight at such hackathons and create such unique AI projects, ”noted Dmitry Chernyshenko.
“I think that you should all support the governor, because Gleb Nikitin carried out an incredibly successful Digital Breakthrough and provided a very important platform for talented guys who, with the help of the ANO Russia – Land of Opportunities, realize their potential. Much is changing now, and your skills will definitely be in demand, ”the Deputy Prime Minister added.
The Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region thanked Dmitry Chernyshenko for the confidence in the region.
“I am truly happy to represent the city that became the capital of the first artificial intelligence hackathon in Russia and the central hub of the Digital Breakthrough in Russia. This is a great honor and, of course, strengthens the position of the region in IT as a whole, including in the job market in the IT environment, – emphasized Gleb Nikitin. “As for the cases themselves that were being solved: we are not case holders, but our research center, a regional project office, will definitely take projects that have been implemented and proposed for acceleration, promotion, further support and, possibly, development.”
The artificial intelligence hackathon was held as part of the Digital Economy national project at the initiative of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia from June 18 to June 20 at the Nizhny Novgorod stadium. It was attended by 218 people. Most of them are from Nizhny Novgorod, but there were also IT specialists from Moscow, St. Petersburg and the Perm Territory. The participants of the hackathon developed digital solutions based on artificial intelligence technologies to assess the compliance of educational programs with the demands of the labor market and best practices in the field of training specialists in end-to-end technologies of the National Technological Initiative (NTI). The Showcase team from Moscow became the winner of the competition. The second and third places were taken by the citizens of Nizhny Novgorod – MirITeam and the team of Knyagininsky University, respectively.
