Servicemen of a separate special purpose brigade of the Western Military District (ZVO) tested a new medical armored vehicle “Linza” during a comprehensive exercise in the Tambov region.

According to the plan of the exercise, a special forces group landed in the rear of the mock enemy to carry out sabotage. To get to the least protected part of the field camp of the conditional enemy, the servicemen crossed to the opposite bank.

After a successful maneuver and sabotage against the enemy’s field headquarters, the special forces worked out the tasks of evacuating the conditionally wounded. To accomplish this goal, the servicemen, under the cover of sniper pairs, transported the “victim” to the evacuation zone, where they loaded into a new medical armored vehicle of the KamAZ-53949 “Typhoon-K” platform under the name “Linza”, where military medics provided the conditionally wounded first aid and in the shortest possible time they took him to the field hospital.

The newest medical armored car “Linza” allows rescuing the seriously wounded directly from the battlefield and is capable of transporting up to nine people: three crew members and up to six wounded in a sitting position. The vehicle has five video cameras around the perimeter of the body, a tire inflation system, a remote-controlled machine gun, from which, using the remote control and images from video cameras, it can fire shooters, as well as a third class of protection that allows it to withstand shots of armor-piercing bullets from a rifle cartridge 7.62 by 54 mm and explosions up to 8 kg of TNT under the bottom.
