At the initiative of the Regional Committee of the Trade Union of State Institutions of the Trans-Baikal Territory, an action was organized to help people from the flooded areas of the Territory, in which employees of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Trans-Baikal Territory, members of the Primary Trade Union Organization of the Federal Penitentiary Service took part.

Primary trade union organizations operate throughout the Trans-Baikal Territory and the directions of their activities are quite diverse. These are the protection of social and labor rights, various measures of social support, labor protection, health improvement, the opportunity to participate in various educational projects and, of course, cases of an emergency. Members of the trade union could not but react to the situation with floods in our region.

– Someone else’s trouble does not happen. In the very first days, a headquarters for coordination and assistance was created, each Primary Trade Union Organization did not stand aside, – says Tatyana Ivanovna Borvenko, Chairman of the Trans-Baikal Regional Organization of the All-Russian Trade Union of Workers of State Institutions and Public Services (ZPRGU).

For the delivery of humanitarian aid to the flood-affected areas, the leadership of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Trans-Baikal Territory allocated a car, escort and fuel. The loading was attended by the personnel of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Trans-Baikal Territory, as well as volunteer students of the Trans-Baikal State University in Chita.

– We collected a large batch of necessary things and food. The first humanitarian aid was sent to the Administration of the municipal district “Baleisky district” to provide targeted assistance to the victims, – said Olga Alekseevna Kodochigova, Deputy Chairperson of the ZPRGU.
