In the Krasnodar Territory, at the Maikop training ground, tankers of the Russian military base of the Southern Military District from Abkhazia took part in live-fire maneuvers.

The main feature of the exercise is that the crews of T-72B3 tanks perform the entire range of tactical and fire exercises in one run. That is, the created target environment provides for firing from all types of weapons of combat vehicles in all possible ways (on the move, from a place, with short stops, from shelters, with a maneuver to a reserve position at night). Also, taking into account the factor of enemy air reconnaissance, the requirements for performing maneuver races and covert movement of tanks were increased.

In addition, the number of targets and the maximum range to them were increased from 2.2 thousand to 2.5 thousand meters. When performing training tasks, the crew does not know from which side and at what distance the next target will appear.

Another innovation was the introduction of a moving target “armored car”, the dimensions of which correspond to modern models of light armored vehicles.

More than 100 servicemen of tank units of the Russian military base of the Southern Military District in Abkhazia were involved in the exercises, over 30 units of military equipment were involved.
