In Uzbekistan, servicemen of a special-purpose brigade of the Central Military District (CVD) climbed to the top of Big Chimgan with a height of more than 2 thousand meters.

The ascent was carried out under the guidance of Uzbek instructors in mountain training from the Training Center “Chimgan Tract”. During the ascent, Russian special forces groups performed an episode of organizing ambushes and raids on the base camp of conditional militants, performed live firing, as well as standards for first aid and evacuation of the wounded from the mountain range.

On behalf of the Russian side, two groups of a special purpose brigade of the Central Military District, stationed in the Samara region, are involved in the joint exercise.

The event is being held in accordance with the plan of international military cooperation and will last until the end of the month. Earlier, the commander of the Central Military District, Colonel-General Alexander Lapin, said that during the summer training period, nine joint international exercises will be held on the territory of Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The main event of joint training of troops will be the anti-terrorist exercise Peace Mission 2021.
