India looks forward to strengthening cooperation and strategic partnership with Russia in the future. This was announced by the First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of India Ajay Kumar following a meeting with the Deputy Head of the Russian Defense Ministry Colonel-General Alexander Fomin on the sidelines of the IX Moscow Conference on International Security.

“I underlined the long-term strategic relationship between India and Russia and we look forward to continuing and strengthening this relationship in the years to come,” said Ajay Kumar.

According to him, at the conference, he shared the experience of fighting the pandemic, which the Indian Armed Forces have, and “the industrial and innovative ecosystem that India has created to fight the pandemic and which without hesitation was provided to a large number of countries around the world.”

During the bilateral meeting, Alexander Fomin and Ajay Kumar discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation in the military and military-technical fields.

The meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere in the spirit of a particularly privileged strategic partnership.
