At the combat training ground of the Black Sea Fleet marines in Sevastopol, the mechanics-drivers of the BTR-82A armored personnel carriers from the units of the Marine Corps unit train in driving and in control of combat vehicles afloat.

Before practical training in driving, the servicemen studied safety requirements, passed swimming standards and completed emergency escape training on an armored personnel carrier on special training mock-ups of equipment.

Directly in practical exercises, driver mechanics practice driving combat vehicles afloat, overcoming water areas of various depths, maneuvering on water in conditions of limited passage, entering an artificial dead end on the water surface and reversing out of it, as well as alternating driving of equipment on land and on water.

Earlier, the military personnel of the Marine Corps worked out driving equipment in the daytime and at night on various types of road surfaces, and also underwent special driving courses in extreme conditions.

About 20 units of combat and special equipment of the Black Sea Fleet marines take part in the combat training events.
