Near Tyumen, at the Andreevsky range of the Higher Military Engineering Command School named after Marshal of Engineering Troops A.I. Proshlyakov, the all-army stage of the “Safe Route” competition, held within the framework of Army-2021, has started.

Participants of the competition carry out combat training tasks for demining and overcoming a ford, for finding and clearing mines, for installing a heavy mechanized bridge over a 40-meter ditch. In addition, the engineering assault squads overcome specially equipped assault lanes, such as a landing from a helicopter model at a height of 8 meters, a suspension bridge, a rope wall, and a building facade model.

Seven teams from four military districts, the Northern Fleet, the Tyumen Higher Military Engineering Command School (TVVIKU), as well as engineering formations of central subordination take part in the Safe Route competition. The final of the competition will take place on June 27. The team that won the first place will represent Russia at the international competition, which will also be held in Tyumen.
