In accordance with the agreement signed by the leadership of the Oktyabrskaya Directorate of Infrastructure and LIU-3 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Tver Region (Bologovsky District), over 40 convicts serving sentences at the site of the colony-settlement of this institution began work on the 50-kilometer section of Uglovka – Bologoye of the main high-speed running of the country.

The convicts mow the grass on the right-of-way, cut off bushes, and clear the area from felling residues. Later, they will start painting the frame-mesh fencing and reinforced concrete pillars. The contract is valid until the end of 2021, but it is planned to renew it annually in the future.

The agreement is beneficial to both parties. Railway workers will be able to devote more time to ensuring traffic safety. The employment of convicts in paid work will contribute to their subsequent resocialization, as well as the repayment of material claims ordered by the court.
