Resolution of June 22, 2021 No. 956

A digital analytical platform for providing statistical data will start operating in Russia next year. The regulations on its work were approved by the Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

The resource will unite disparate statistical systems. We are talking, in particular, about the register of forms of statistical observation and statistical indicators, a single repository of statistical data. Thus, the main participants in statistical accounting – government agencies, respondents and data users – will now interact in a single digital environment.

For especially important projects, for example, the All-Russian Population Census, separate software components will be created within the system. They will ensure the prompt processing of information and the aggregation of socially significant indicators.

The Regulation also defines the basic principles of the platform, including the relevance, availability and reliability of information, transparency of collection and processing processes, and the use of a unified methodology.

The platform was instructed to put into operation until January 1, 2022. Rosstat was appointed its operator.

The launch of such a resource will allow unifying the procedures for collecting, storing and disseminating information, avoiding duplication of reporting and establishing multiple use of primary data. All this will make the statistics better and more accessible, will give users the opportunity to receive all the necessary information from one source.
