“The monolithic structures of the Terekhovo station are already 99 percent complete. Also, all six escalators have been completely assembled, preparations are underway for carrying out cargo and running tests, ”said the Deputy Mayor.
In the passenger areas, 64 percent of the granite floor has been laid, and the installation of the ceiling and panels on the walls and columns is still in progress. Active work is also underway on the surface in the construction area of the station.
“Backfilling of the pit has been partially completed on the surface, and the sites are being transferred for improvement. In one of the under-street pedestrian crossings, the installation of load-bearing metal structures has begun, ”said Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC.
Earlier, in the western section of the BCL already opened stations “Mnevniki” and “Narodnoe Opolchenie”, the construction of the remaining two stations – “Terekhovo” and “Kuntsevskaya” – is planned to be completed by the end of the year. The launch of train traffic on the section will improve the transport situation in the areas of Khoroshevo-Mnevniki, Kuntsevo, Filevsky Park, Fili-Davydkovo, Mozhaisky, as well as reduce the load on the central sections of the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya and Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya metro lines.
The Big Circle Line is the largest Moscow metro construction project. The total length of the ring is more than 70 kilometers, it will house 31 stations, 12 of which are already open to passengers.
