Now specialists are engaged in finishing the granite floors of the passenger area and wall cladding.

Monolithic works on the arrangement of the platform part and the vestibules of the Sokolniki station under construction on the Big Circle Line (BCL) of the metro have been completed in full.

“The monolithic work on the construction of the platform part and the lobbies of Sokolniki has been fully completed,” said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction

Now specialists are equipping pedestrian exits from the first and second lobbies of the station under construction, completing work on backfilling the platform part with lobbies. Now more than 15 out of 31 thousand cubic meters of soil have been laid there.

“The architectural finishing of the granite floors of the passenger area at the level of the platform and balconies continues, and work has begun on the cladding of the marble walls of the escalator slopes of the first and second lobbies. The total volume of the laid stone will be more than 14 thousand square meters, currently more than four thousand square meters have been laid, ”said Yuri Kravtsov, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC.

The Sokolniki station is included in the northeastern section of the BCL together with the Rizhskaya and Maryina Roshcha stations. At the moment, all three stations are more than half ready, and the total construction readiness of the site is 65 percent.

There are about five kilometers of tunnels left on the Big Circle Line

The Big Circle Line is a key Moscow metro construction project. The total length of the line is more than 70 kilometers, it will have 31 stations, 12 of which are already open to passengers.
