As part of a tactical flight exercise with a military transport aviation formation, taking place in the Ryazan region, more than 350 cadets of the Ryazan Guards Higher Airborne Command School (RVVDKU) named after General of the Army V.F. Margelova was dropped on the Zhitovo landing site near Ryazan.

Early in the morning, 10 Il-76MD aircraft with personnel on board took off from the Diagilevo airfield one after the other into the sky.

About half an hour after takeoff, the planes entered a combat course over the landing area, where more than 350 RVVDKU cadets were parachuted on D-10 parachute systems.

The landing was carried out from an altitude of 600 meters with an aircraft speed of more than 360 km / h and a separation interval of 0.7 seconds. After landing, the personnel carried out a gathering at the landing site and worked out tactical tasks to capture objects of a simulated enemy.

The D-10 parachute system is the main one in the Airborne Forces and allows airborne personnel in gear, with weapons and equipment with a total weight of more than 140 kilograms.

Summing up the landing, the deputy chief of the RVVDKU for airborne training of the guard, Colonel Igor Bortan, noted that the landing took place without incident, all parachute systems worked in normal mode, which made it possible to fulfill the task facing the “winged infantry”.
