The commander of the army corps of the Black Sea Fleet (Black Sea Fleet), Major General Denis Lyamin, visited the 109-year-old veteran of the Great Patriotic War, Alexander Ilyich Budkov, who lives in Simferopol.

Alexander Ilyich received commemorative gifts at home, surrounded by a large family. The commander of the formation wished the front-line soldier good health and good spirits.

Alexander Ilyich Budkov joined the army in 1937. He took part in the Soviet-Finnish War, went through the entire Great Patriotic War, which he ended in Germany. He was repeatedly wounded, awarded the Orders of the Patriotic War I and II degrees, the Order of the Red Star and Bohdan Khmelnitsky, as well as many medals.

After returning from the front, Alexander Ilyich restored the national economy, worked in the construction industry. In February next year, the veteran will celebrate his 110th birthday.

The corps command made a decision to assist the veteran in solving everyday everyday issues.
