The Moscow government creates an environment of continuous development for the youth of the capital. It brings together all key areas – from creative and vocational education, as well as sports training to entrepreneurship programs, career guidance, employment assistance and much more.
“Moscow creates an environment of continuous development for young people from childhood. Human capital is the most valuable asset of any metropolis. And it’s not just about professionalism and skills. Positive and modern thinking, openness to the world, continuous movement forward are of great importance. Even the most disruptive technologies are, after all, the result of the work of talented people. The main source of the city’s development is precisely the people, ”said the deputy mayor
The population of Moscow, according to official figures, is 12.5 million people. About three million of them are young people between the ages of 14 and 35, and this is about every fourth, the deputy mayor emphasized. More than 900 thousand students of universities and secondary specialized educational institutions study in the capital.
According to Natalia Sergunina, the city takes care of youth employment. So, in the educational complex “Technograd”a career development center operates at VDNKh. Professional career consultants help everyone in finding a job: they tell you how to write a resume correctly and successfully pass an interview, how to present your strengths to employers.
Since 2017, the Moscow Government has been conducting a voluntary qualification exam… It allows aspiring professionals to test their knowledge and find a good job or paid internship. For four years more than 20 thousand students have passed it. The best of them received offers from large companies. Today the project is supported by more than 300 universities and almost 70 companies.
In addition, an online platform was created at the initiative of youth “In Work”… More than 200 partner companies have connected to it, and the number of resumes added exceeds three thousand.
In order to continue to compete on equal terms with the world’s leading megacities, Moscow focuses on programs for realizing talents from school and even earlier. Another unique opportunity for the younger generation is education in children’s technoparks from a young age. There are already 18 of them in the city. Children can choose an interesting direction for themselves from a variety of options. Among the areas presented are information technology, robotics, microelectronics, 3D modeling, new materials, auto and aircraft design, natural sciences and much more.
Training takes place within the framework of intensive courses and project work, as well as in the format of lectures, master classes, educational games and quests. Educational programs are prepared jointly with leading universities and companies in the city. The partners of the technoparks are large Russian and international organizations.
Beginning entrepreneurs are invited to the Business Weekend educational program.
