Since the beginning of the summer training period, more than 1,000 servicemen from various units of the Russian military base of the Southern Military District (YuVO) in Abkhazia have been trained on modern computer simulators.

The tasks on the electronic training complexes were performed by the servicemen of tank, anti-aircraft missile and motorized rifle units.

Training complexes allow you to form a virtual tactical situation, taking into account different periods of the year and day, geographical and climatic features, displaying up to 20 targets at different ranges.

Operators of simulators of anti-aircraft missile systems are shown, among other things, the trajectory of the missile’s flight, the movements of ground and air targets, the dimensions of which change in proportion to the range. Conditional interference is also provided – flare, sound, smoke, etc.

The capabilities of simulators allow instructors to automatically record trainees’ mistakes, correct actions and simulate the situation.

In total, about 15 types of simulators are used in the South Military District in Abkhazia, incl. complexes for training crews of T-72B3 tanks, operators of Shturm-S anti-tank guided missile systems, RPO-A Bumblebee flamethrowers, as well as anti-aircraft gunners of Igla portable anti-aircraft missile systems and RPG-7 grenade launchers.
