The heads and representatives of organizations, companies and enterprises participating in the Salon reported to the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy on the state of affairs in their specifics and the prospects for interaction with the Navy in all profile areas.

As it was said in the welcoming speech of the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Nikolai Yevmenov, which was announced to the media on the eve of the Salon’s opening, “The 10th Anniversary International Naval Show, which is traditionally held in the historical capital of the Russian Navy, St. Petersburg. An important feature of the Salon is that it is held on the eve of the Main Naval Parade. Traditionally, the Navy demonstrates at the Salon modern ships and vessels that successfully solve assigned tasks in various regions of the world’s oceans. Within the framework of the current forum, surface ships, submarines, boats and vessels from the Navy and the Border Guard Service of the FSB of Russia, as well as coastal missile systems and a coastal reconnaissance complex are presented at the berths of the Marine Facade. At the salon you will see the first serial frigate “Admiral Kasatonov”, designed to solve tasks in all spheres of combat use – on water, in the air and under water, in different latitudes of the World Ocean. The ship is equipped with the Caliber complex, capable of effectively solving strike missions of engaging both ground and surface targets, an air defense system, and submarine search and combat systems. The means of automation and communications with which this ship is equipped allow it to be the core of an interspecific grouping in any region of the world’s oceans. The high efficiency of the technical solutions implemented in the ships of this project, as well as the high level of personnel training, are demonstrated by the ships of the Navy, performing special tasks in the far sea zone.

The newest naval ships that will be seen by the Salon participants are diesel-electric submarines of Project 677 Saint Petersburg and Project 636.3 Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, small missile ships of Project 21631 Zeleny Dol and Project 22800 Odintsovo, equipped with a strike complex “Caliber”. RTOs of the “Green Dol” type are actively operated in the Navy, they have repeatedly proved their high efficiency during a special operation in the Syrian Arab Republic, operating both in the Caspian and Mediterranean seas.

Speaking about the further development of the Russian Navy, I would like to note that the strategic missile submarines of the Borei and Borei-A projects will form the basis of the grouping of the naval strategic forces, and the main strike potential of the general-purpose forces will be formed by the multipurpose submarine cruisers of the Yasen and Ash-M “, as well as modernized submarines of existing projects from the Navy.

Work will continue on the creation of non-nuclear submarines with an air-independent power plant, as well as the serial construction of diesel-electric submarines. At present, a series of diesel-electric submarines of Project 636.3 is under construction for the Pacific Fleet, and the construction of non-nuclear submarines of the Lada type continues.

As regards the development of the naval surface forces, the creation of improved ships of the frigate and corvette classes will continue, taking into account the operating experience of the lead and serial ships handed over to the fleet. Moreover,

All activities of the Main Command of the Navy are aimed at the further creation and development of a qualitatively new Navy, balanced in its composition and combat capabilities, capable, together with other types and branches of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, to ensure strategic nuclear and non-nuclear deterrence, and to protect the national interests of the Russian Federation. Federations in the World Ocean. I am sure that no one should have any doubts about the status of the Navy. The Russian Navy was, is and will be oceanic, capable of performing tasks of any complexity in all latitudes of the World Ocean.

As a result of close interaction of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Main Command and scientific research organizations of the Navy, scientific and design organizations, shipbuilding and ship repair enterprises, the equipment and readiness of the fleet is constantly increasing, its capabilities for solving problems in the sea and distant ocean zones are increasing. The reliability of our ships and weapons has been repeatedly confirmed in the course of naval exercises, both at the inter-naval and interspecific levels, as well as in the course of international naval exercises. “
