The military band of the Alexandria motorized rifle brigade of the Central Military District held a brass music concert for residents and guests of Samara.

The evening performance took place for the second time on the site in front of the Officers’ House of the Samara garrison at the monument to the Alexandrian hussars. It was hosted by Polina Loginova, director of the Summer Evenings of Brass Music project. The musicians performed famous marches and waltzes of different years, as well as songs by Soviet composers. The orchestra was directed by the military conductor Major Vyacheslav Vorushilov.

The project “Summer Evenings of Brass Music” is being implemented by the House of Officers of the Samara Garrison and the Immortal Hussars Union in cooperation with the command of the 2nd Guards Combined Arms Army as part of the continuation of the traditions of the Samara military band of the 214th Mokshan Infantry Regiment of the Russian Imperial Army under the leadership of Ilya Shatrov – the author the famous waltz “On the Hills of Manchuria”.

The concerts will run until the end of the summer. All comers will be able to become spectators of the festive performances twice a month after 18.00 local time.
