On June 25, in Sevastopol, employees of the Russian Emergencies Ministry conducted two operations to search for and neutralize ammunition during the Great Patriotic War. One of them was conducted on land, while the other was in the sea area. Experts have destroyed more than eight dozen ammunition during the Great Patriotic War.

The pyrotechnics of the Specialized Detachment of the Main Directorate of the EMERCOM of Russia for the city of Sevastopol, together with units of the Black Sea Fleet, held events in the Gilzovaya Bay and raised 78 ammunition from the water.

In parallel with the naval operation, work took place on land – in the village of Lyubimovka. There, on the territory of a private household, during earthworks, citizens found an artillery shell with a caliber of 155 millimeters. The fireworkers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, in compliance with all the necessary safety requirements, transported an explosive object for subsequent elimination.

At the training ground of the emergency department, all the terrible finds that this day brought, and two more aerial bombs discovered earlier in Sevastopol were simultaneously destroyed. These are Soviet ammunition FAB-50 and FAB-250 – their weight is 50 and 250 kilograms, respectively. In total, 81 explosive objects were eliminated by controlled detonation.

From the Specialized Detachment, 12 personnel, 2 watercraft and 4 units of automotive equipment were involved in the work. To monitor the situation from the air, a group of robotic equipment and unmanned aerial systems was involved. Fire safety was provided by firefighters of the emergency department.
