Representatives of the Leninsky District Branch of the Saransk City District of the Criminal Executive Inspectorate of the Office of the Federal Penitentiary Service for the Republic of Mordovia held an event aimed at preventing violations of the order of serving a sentence in the form of restraint of freedom.

The branch annually includes about 20 prisoners sentenced to restraint of freedom, with restrictions imposed by the court “not to travel outside the territory of Saransk, Republic of Mordovia.” As part of a monthly check by the employees of the branch in the Leninsky District of Saransk, the Penitentiary Directorate of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Republic of Mordovia carried out a check in the Linear Police Department of Saransk using the AIPS “Search-Magistral” system on the acquisition of travel documents by convicts. As a result of this event, one violation of travel outside the city of Saransk was revealed. The submission for the addition of restrictions on freedom in relation to the convicted person was sent to the Leninsky District Court of Saransk.

It should be noted that such activities are primarily aimed at preventing repeated crimes.
