The Prudboy training ground of the Southern Military District (YuVO), stationed in the Volgograd region, was recognized as the best training ground of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (RF Armed Forces) in the nomination “Best inter-service (combined-arms) training ground – 2021”.

Summing up the results took place at the Totsky training ground of the Orenburg region during a meeting with the chiefs of the training grounds of the RF Armed Forces.

The cup, a certificate for the first place and gifts to the head of the combined-arms training ground Prudboy of the Southern Military District, Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Evtenko were presented by the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Yunus-Bek Evkurov.

The integrated commission studied in detail the organization of activities at the training grounds, special attention was paid to the educational and material base. On Prudboy it is unique in its own way – it allows conducting not only planned combat training exercises and various exercises, but also unscheduled events, such as checking the combat readiness of battalion tactical groups, airborne and airborne units, exercises, including bilateral, military units and formations of the Southern Military District, contests for field training of representatives of various military specialties.

International exercises are regularly held at the Prudboy training ground, for example, in August 2021, a joint Russian-Indian military exercise Indra-2021 will be held at the training ground.

Polygon Prudboy became the best in the professional competition for the fourth time, setting a kind of record. This became possible, first of all, thanks to the professional and well-coordinated work of all personnel. Servicemen of the Southern Military District implement non-standard approaches and teaching methods when organizing the process of combat training. The integrated commission took note and noted a number of rationalization proposals that make it possible to increase the efficiency of training at various training places, to avoid downtime in the organization of combat training, which contributes to the preservation of range equipment.
