Servicemen of special forces of the Central Military District (CVD), taking part in a joint training session to share experiences at the Training Center for mountain training “Tract Chimgan” of the armed forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan, visited the memorial complex “Victory Park” in Tashkent.

Russian servicemen got acquainted with the expositions of the Museum of Glory erected on the territory of the park in the form of a man-made mound, inside which the main pavilion of the park is located with an exposition dedicated to the history of Uzbekistan’s participation in World War II. The servicemen got acquainted with authentic samples of weapons and military equipment, household items, with handwritten documentary and photographic materials, materials of fine art telling about the history of the Great Patriotic War and World War II, about the struggle of the Soviet people against the German invaders.

The concept of the Victory Park memorial complex was developed in accordance with the decree of the President of Uzbekistan Sh. Mirziyoyev “On the worthy celebration of the 75th anniversary of Victory in World War II” dated October 23, 2019. In 2020, despite the quarantine measures in Tashkent related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the construction of the complex was carried out in three shifts, and the park was opened on time – May 9, on the day of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany.

The event is being held in accordance with the plan for international military cooperation. One of the main tasks of the exercise is to strengthen and develop military cooperation between the armed forces of the two countries, as well as exchange experience in conducting special operations to destroy illegal armed formations in mountainous areas.
