Over 46.6 billion rubles will be allocated from the Government’s reserve fund to pay new benefits to pregnant women and parents raising children alone. Such payments can be made from July 1, including on the portal of public services. The order on the allocation of funds for these purposes was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

On the instructions of the President, from July 1, two new benefits are introduced in Russia, which are assigned taking into account the size of the family’s income. Firstly, these are special payments to women registered in early pregnancy. We are talking about expectant mothers who are in a difficult financial situation. Until the birth of the child, every month they will receive about 6.3 thousand rubles – 50% of the living wage in the region. In 2021, over 400,000 women will receive such support. More than 10 billion rubles will be allocated for these purposes.

Secondly, special payments are assigned to children from 8 to 17 years old who grow up in single-parent low-income families. Both moms and dads who are raising children alone will be able to get them. The size of this allowance is equal to half of the regional subsistence minimum per child and on average is about 5.5 thousand rubles per month. Until the end of the year, the payment will be received by single parents of more than one million children. More than 36 billion rubles will be allocated for these purposes.

“Such payments are targeted assistance to those who find themselves in a difficult financial situation. To help such families, the Government will continue to build a system of social treasury, ”Mikhail Mishustin recalled. at a meeting of the Government on June 24.

The Prime Minister instructed the Minister of Labor Anton Kotyakov to provide detailed information to citizens about the possibility of receiving new payments.
