The project for the construction of a pedestrian bridge across the Moskva River Vodootvodny Canal has been approved. The corresponding decree was signed during the Presidium of the Moscow Government Sergei Sobyanin.

A new bridge 56.6 meters long and eight meters wide in the alignment of the 3rd Golutvinsky lane will connect Bolotnaya and Krymskaya embankments. There will also be additional slopes to the water in the form of wooden structures and a pier.

In addition, a pedestrian zone with a total area of about 0.3 hectares will appear on Bolotnaya Embankment.

It is expected that the new pedestrian bridge will be used by up to 900 people per hour – these are employees of organizations located in Balchug, as well as other Muscovites and tourists.

Now in the districts of Zamoskvorechye and Yakimanka, work is underway on the complex improvement of Sofiyskaya, Raushskaya, Kosmodamianskaya embankments, as well as Faleevsky lane and Repinsky square. Earlier, they began on Sadovnicheskaya embankment, Sadovnicheskaya street and two Raushsky lanes.
