In June, more than 2,000 servicemen of the Guards Tank Army of the Western Military District (ZVO), whose units are stationed in Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow, Ivanovo, Yaroslavl and Smolensk regions, passed training on modern computer simulators. The tasks on the electronic training complexes were performed by the servicemen of tank, motorized rifle, artillery, and anti-aircraft missile units.

These simulators allow you to form a virtual tactical situation taking into account different periods of the year and day, geographic and climatic features, displaying up to 30 targets at different ranges. So, operators of anti-aircraft missile systems are shown the trajectory of the missile’s flight, the movement of ground and air targets. Conditional interference is also provided: flare, sound, smoke and others. The capabilities of simulators allow instructors to automatically record trainees’ mistakes, correct actions and simulate the situation.

In total, the ZVO tank association uses over 25 types of simulators: for the crews of T-72B3, T-80, T-90 tanks, infantry fighting vehicles on BMP-2, armored personnel carriers BTR-82A; for drivers of KamAZ vehicles; for operators of SAM “Tor-M2”; for operators of Shturm-S anti-tank guided missile systems; for flamethrowers of RPO-A “Bumblebee” rocket infantry flamethrowers, as well as for anti-aircraft gunners of portable anti-aircraft missile systems “Igla” and RPG-7 grenade launchers.
