Today, in accordance with the instructions of the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Nikolai Yevmenov, for the first time, a naval training competition has been launched among servicemen of the Northern, Pacific, Black Sea, Baltic fleets, the Caspian Flotilla and the Sea Breeze Joint Training Center of the Navy. The opening ceremony of the competition took place in the city of Kronstadt on Petrovskaya embankment under the leadership of Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, Vice-Admiral Vladimir Kasatonov.

The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Kronstadt District of St. Petersburg Maxim Petrov, officers of the Main Command of the Navy and representatives of the command of the Leningrad Naval Base.

Within the framework of the official part, a solemn presentation of the participating teams, their captains and hoisting on the flagpoles of the State flag of the Russian Federation and the Andreevsky flag took place.

In his welcoming speech, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Navy Vice-Admiral Vladimir Kasatonov noted that “the decision to hold a new competition“ Sea Breeze ”this year was made by the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, primarily in order to involve all categories of servicemen in competitive events and increase the level of maritime training of sailors.”

At the end of his speech, Vice Admiral Vladimir Kasatonov congratulated the participants on the opening of the competition and wished them success, uncompromising struggle and bright victories.

The opening ceremony of the “Sea Breeze” competition ended with the passage of the participating teams with a solemn march.

The competition will be held on high-speed boats with a rigid-inflatable hull of the BL-680 type from June 28 to July 2 at the Leningrad Naval Base of the Baltic Fleet and will consist of two stages – “Water Element” and “Sea Throw”.
